Someone is using my facebook account

by Roger Drown

I have recently found someone has been using my facebook profile to send rude and foul messages to my Facebook friends using facebook/mobile.

Editor's Comment: Roger, we are very sorry to hear this. Activity like this seems to be becoming much more frequent and more frequently found.

If your own facebook profile has been used, perhaps your password has been compromised? If so, this often happens because passwords are 'guessable' by people that know you well.

This may mean that you use a common word (name, football club, sport, etc) as your password, or perhaps numbers that are meaningfull to you (your own or another persons date of birth perhaps).

For more details about how to make your password stronger, check out our page of password security tips.

We wish you luck in bringing this to a fast and simple end.
