about.com has a section with free background information on almost every subject on earth. I found that there were a lot of articles about a number of ID fraud subjects including spoofing, nigerian letter scams and phishing. I'm no expert, but it helped me understand a little more.

We took a look at their ID theft and ID fraud prevention articles and there is certainly something there worth following. But all of the prevention tips in the world won't help unless you take action.
